It's time for another update! The summer holidays are over, and a lot has happened behind the scenes at Tulmo.
Our journey to a revolutionary modular wheel hasn't been without its bumps in the road. The first prototype faced some setbacks: it was too heavy, and mounting the tire proved difficult due to the missing drop center, a crucial feature that makes tire installation easier.
These setbacks led to a complete redesign. Our second prototype, which we expect to receive by mid-October, has been significantly improved. We've not only added a proper drop center, but we've also made the wheel considerably lighter. On top of that, we've replaced the many different rim flange widths with a single standard flange per diameter. This new modular approach uses spacers to determine the wheel's width, which gives you even more customization options.
With our new prototype on the way, we're ready to hit the road! We'll be at the BigTwin Bikeshow in Houten during the first weekend of November and at the Custombike-Show in Bad Salzuflen during the last weekend of November.
